Kumoh National Institute of Technology (KIT) is a four-year national university specializing in engineering. It was first founded as a private company but shifted to a national university in 1990. KIT runs a total of 35 departments and of them, 31 offer engineering-related majors. Its main campus located in Yangho-dong, Gumi, is home to the vast majority of classes, with its secondary campus in Sinpyeong-dong, Gumi, caters to just two departments.
