Korea National University of Arts (K-Arts) was established in 1993 by late Culture Minister Lee O Young while he was serving as the minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism. It is the only national university of arts in Korea and many notable stars are graduates of the school. They include actors Kim Go-eun, Han Ye-ri, Byun Yo-han, Park So-dam, Jin Seon-kyu, Kim Jyung-hyun, ballet dancer Kim Ki-min and pianists Son Yeol-eum and Kim Sun-wook. It has six schools – Music, Drama, Film, TV and Multimedia, Dance, Visual Arts, and Korean Traditioanl Arts — and 27 departments. The school has three Seoul campuses: The Seokgwan Campus and Daehakro Campus in central Seoul and the Seocho Campus, located inside the Seoul Arts Center in southern Seoul.
