Founded in 1958, Inha Technical College aims to provide field-oriented curriculums that reflect the needs of people working in industry. There are 24 departments, and the university is especially well known for its Department of Aircraft Cabin Service Management and Department of Aeronautical & Mechanical Engineering. The latter department is the one that requires the highest score to get into in the entire school. Hanjin Group, the owner of Korean Airlines, owns and manages the school. Despite the technical focus of the school, it counts a number of celebrities among its alumni including actresses Kim Sung-ryoung and Hwang Shin-hye. As both a landmark feature of the school and for occassional training purposes, a Boeing 727, once operated by Korean Airlines, is parked in the middle of the campus, acting as a major attraction and a photo spot for visitors. The school shares some land with neighboring Inha University, although the two campuses are technically located in different cities, ITC in Incheon and IU in Seoul. The Inha Technical College has been partnering with international schools since 1991, and has established numerous joint programs with around 50 schools around the world.
